As a CAMFT member, you may attend the next regularly scheduled meeting of the CAMFT Board as an observer. Observers are given the opportunity to speak before the Board during the Member Open Forum. The Member Open Forum is limited to 30 minutes total, with each member receiving up to three (3) minutes to present their topic or issue. If there are numerous members in attendance, the ability to present will be on a first-come-first-served basis. After presenting your three minute topic, the Board will have the opportunity to request that your topic/issue be included on the next or any subsequent Board meeting agenda for further discussion.
Observers will have the opportunity to view the Board in its deliberations but will not be invited to participate in Board discussions. Seating of observers will be separate and apart from the Board table. Observers will be excused from the meeting at any time members of the Board go into Executive Session or Closed Session. Observers should inform Andrea Redd
at CAMFT of their intent to attend a Board meeting as far in advance as possible, but not later than one week before the meeting, as space is often limited and seating will need to be added. Please note that due to the size constraints of some meeting rooms, only a limited number of seats can be added, and once full, there will be standing room only. In addition, we must adhere to any fire-code restrictions placed upon the meeting space provided by the venue.
To permit Board Members to engage in a thorough and open discussion, observers of Board Meetings, and individuals making presentations to the CAMFT Board of Directors shall not transmit or record information by any electronic means during any CAMFT Board Meeting. In accordance with the CAMFT Policy on Anti-Trust Compliance
, comments which border on areas of anti-trust sensitivity will be not be permitted.
