CAMFT Board Application Packet
Thank you for your interest in running for a position on the CAMFT Board of Directors. We appreciate your willingness to volunteer your leadership services to CAMFT. Positions available for 2018-2019 are listed below. Click on each title to view a detailed job description.
Membership on the CAMFT Board of Directors is exciting, challenging, and demanding. It provides the opportunity to shape the organization while fostering deep community with your professional colleagues. The CAMFT Board is a “governing” board. A governing board helps create the vision, mission, values, and policies for the organization and ensures that the principles and finances are properly respected. (The Board, itself, does not actively run programs and services.)
According to the CAMFT Bylaws, Article VI, Section C(2), to be eligible to serve on the 2018-2019 Board as President-Elect, Chief Financial Officer, or Board Director-At-Large, you must have been a voting member of CAMFT since at least 2016.
As a Board member, you will be expected to attend four (4) quarterly meetings. You will also be expected to represent the Board at the 2019 Chapter Leadership Conference and the 2019 Annual Conference, and attend “CAMFT Connects” and Chapter meetings as needed. You will be expected to interact with the local offices of your state and federal legislators to educate the legislators and staff about the work of LMFTs and CAMFT. Finally, you will be expected to adhere to and sign the CAMFT Conflict of Interest Policy, the Policy on Antitrust Compliance, a Consent to Electronic Transmission, and a Confidentiality Acknowledgement and Agreement. You will be invited to attend the April 26-29, 2018 Annual Conference as a guest of the current Board.
