As we continue to navigate changing times, CAMFT is seeking introductory, intermediate, and advanced workshop proposals that offer innovative content by mental health professionals who share an awareness of and insight into the newest wave of therapeutic approaches, technology, and business savvy for therapists and soon-to-be therapists. We're especially looking for topics that focus on community and healing, and the role that therapists play in community.
If you are enthusiastic about sharing your vision on a voluntary basis with your colleagues, the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) invites you to submit a proposal to present at one or more of the following events:
- 2023 Annual Conference, held in person May 5-6, 2023, Santa Clara, CA
- Lunch and Learn webinar series
- February—Black History Month
- May—Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month
- September/October—Hispanic Heritage Month
- October—Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November—National American Indian Heritage Month
- Fall Symposium (September)
- Pre-licensed Symposium (September/October)
Topics for consideration are:
- Adolescent Self-Harm and Depression
- Couples/Relationship Therapy
- Covid Era/Post-Covid Coping/Covid Reintegration
- Eating Disorders and Body Image
- Family Therapy

- Neurodiversity

Qualifications
The presenter(s) must satisfy at least two of the following minimum qualifications:
- Hold a license, registration, or certificate in an area related to the subject matter of the course. The license registration or certificate shall be current, valid, and free from restrictions due to disciplinary action by the Board of Behavioral Sciences or any other health care regulatory agency
- Possess a master’s or higher degree from an educational institution in an area related to the subject matter of the course
- Have training, certification, or experience in teaching subject-matter related to the subject matter of the course
- Possess at least two years’ experience in an area related to the subject matter of the course.
By submitting a proposal, you agree that you satisfy at least two of the above minimum qualifications.
Disciplinary Action
By submitting a proposal, presenter(s) agree that any licensing board, regulatory body, or ethics/peer review committee of a professional association, has ever taken any disciplinary action against the presenter(s) or a license/ registration/certification held by the presenter(s).
Recording Release
The presenter(s) acknowledge that the presentation may be audio/video recorded by a third-party vendor engaged by CAMFT and authorizes CAMFT to record, duplicate, and offer for sale on media, the presentation, and any portion of participation during the workshop.
The presenter(s) waives any and all claims including, but not limited to, monetary compensation and royalties, resulting from the recording, duplicating, and sales of the aforesaid. Such recordings may be used by CAMFT for continuing education purposes, as well as for promotional reasons. Upon request, CAMFT will provide the presenter(s) with a recording of the presentation in a format designated by CAMFT and the presenter(s) agrees not to duplicate the recording, or to use or grant use of the recording for commercial purposes.
