Letter Writing & Assessment for Trans, Non Bbinary & many more Non CIS People
(1.5 CEs)

Workshop Description:

This workshop will provide the importance of providing letters for trans, non-binary, and many more non cis people to gain access to life-saving and affirming care. In addition, the workshop will teach providers how to engage in an assessment & write a letter in just one session to help end the violent transphobic acts of gatekeeping.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will be able to assess clients and write letters to increase access to affirming procedures for trans/non binary and/or many more non cis clients after one session with the client.
  2. Participants will be able to define internalized/externalized transphobia and describe three ways they manifest.
  3. Participants will describe three ways a clinician can create a more affirming space for trans clients.
