EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH LIAISON POSITIONS OPEN AT CAMFT


CAMFT is currently hiring for two part-time Educational Outreach Liaisons to interface with universities, colleges, and clinics to support and recruit pre-licensed CAMFT members. Ideally these positions will be remote and based in either the Los Angeles or San Francisco Bay areas. Position Title:
Educational Outreach Liaison

Compensation and Hours:
Remote Position, 20 - 30 hours per week
Compensation Range: $28 - $33.50 per hour
                                     Full Benefits plus 401K provided at 25 hours per week

Basic Function:
This part-time, remote position establishes and maintains fruitful relationships with universities and colleges with MFT programs, as well as clinics and community institutions who employ pre-licensees, in order to support and recruit pre-licensed CAMFT members. Responsible for marketing and maintaining public perception of CAMFT as a mental health thought-leader and provider of invaluable services to both pre-licensee and clinical members. Also responsible for supporting the Clinical Communications team by assisting with the production of The Therapist magazine, electronic communications, social media communications, web-based communications and continuing education offerings and events.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Work with Managing Director of Clinical Affairs to develop educational outreach programs
  • Promote membership recruitment and retention by converting prospects to new memberships/li>
  • Work with Executive Director, Managing Director of Clinical Affairs, and other staff to develop quantifiable targets for member recruitment
  • Nurture new and existing relationships with Universities, Faculty, Training Agencies, and other mental health partners and stakeholders
  • Schedule and implement regular outreach presentations and events
  • Assist in the organization of special events, including conferences and training events
  • Speak effectively before groups of students, pre-licensees, consortium members, and clinicians
  • Work with team to develop additional projects when Universities are not in session, including
    • Writing newsletter articles, magazine articles and other communications
    • Assist with social media and Facebook page content
  • Stay up-to-date on CAMFT events and social developments relevant to CAMFT members
  • Be responsive to home office in San Diego through both teleconference and occasional in-person meetings
  • Meet defined performance goals/li>
  • Regular and punctual attendance required to meet essential function of job responsibilities
  • Perform other activities as assigned

Qualifications & Technical Skills:

  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) strongly preferred
  • Master’s degree required
  • Experience in written / oral communications, public relations or related fields
  • Extensive experience speaking / presenting in both intimate settings and to large groups
  • One-year experience working in the area of community development, preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, including writing skills
  • Comfortable working on-the-road, 2 to 3 days per week
  • Detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Able to work independently and yet communicate and collaborate with colleagues at the home office
  • Knowledge of social media and other outreach platforms
  • 2 to 3 days of travel per week; 25% of travel will be overnight
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, proof of insurance required
