• In January 2021, U.S. Representative Mike Thompson (D-Sonoma County) and Rep. John Katko (R-New York) re-introduced H.R. 432, a bill that would allow Marriage and Family Therapists to become providers under Medicare.
• In the U.S. Senate in March, Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) and Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) re-introduced S 828, the Senate sister-bill that would also allow MFTs to become Medicare providers.
