Last year, Governor Newsom signed SB 525 which will increase the minimum wage incrementally to $25 an hour for specified health care workers. Set to take effect June 1, 2024, Californians are waiting for more information on the law's implementation from the Administration. Amidst a significant budget deficit, the Administration has yet to announce any proposed changes or implementation clarifications to the health care worker minimum wage law.
