Purpose/Function:
Provide information to CAMFT members needing disaster mental health and crisis response-related resources and assistance (websites, referrals, trainings, etc.).

Composition:
The Crisis Response Education and Resource Committee shall be comprised of no less than three (3) and up to eight (8) members. Members shall have had significant experience in the field of disaster mental health and/or crisis response. Diversity in committee composition is desired.

Term: 
Committee members are appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the CAMFT Board of Directors for a two (2) year term. A member may serve as Chair for one (1) term.

Meetings:
The Committee meets via tele/video conference on an as-needed basis. One (1) meeting per year may be held in person, as necessary, to carry out the agenda.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the efforts of CAMFT’s participation in the California Disaster Mental Health Coalition, including the appointment of Committee members or, if necessary, other CAMFT members to represent CAMFT on the Coalition
• Foster relationships with other relief/disaster mental health organizations, including but not limited to, the American Red Cross and International Critical Incident Stress Foundation
• Encourage disaster mental health/crisis response training for CAMFT members
• Committee members are required to sign: Committee Member Participation Agreement, Conflict of Interest Policy, Anti-Trust Compliance Policy, and Consent to Electronic Transmission.
