"CounselingCalifornia.com" and "Members Only" CAMFT is a private trade association consisting of mental health professionals. As one of the many benefits of membership, we make available on our www.counselingcalifornia.com website a searchable database of therapists. CounselingCalifornia.com is intended to be used by members of the public to locate and contact mental health professionals in their area by such characteristics as name, area of practice or location.
In addition, www.camft.org also contains a "members only" section for which a login and password are required. The members only section contains additional information, such as forms and previously published articles intended to assist CAMFT members in their practice.
If you are a member of CAMFT and would like to be removed from www.CounselingCalifornia.com, please follow the instructions on the CounselingCalifornia.com website or call CAMFT at (858) 292-2638.
"Contact Us" Like most sites on the Internet, our website contains a feature that allows you to contact us with your comments or questions. To use this feature, there is an icon at the top of each page on our website which you can click onto. When you click this icon, a list of contact options will appear, including the option to email CAMFT at InfoCenter@camft.org.
CAMFT Educational Opportunities and other Products The CAMFT website contains several forms and applications that allow you to order products, register for workshops, etc. In order to process and complete your orders, you may be asked to provide certain information, such as your name, address, state and zip code. We may also need to ask you for your credit card number and expiration date.
The information collected through the registration forms is used to process your order and may also be used to keep track of the amount and types of purchases being made through the CAMFT website. CAMFT may also use your email address or mailing address to send you information regarding updates to the products you purchased or new products, which may be of interest to you. Some of the electronic courses made available through links on the CAMFT website may take you to another website where you may purchase products, or register for workshops, and if so, you agree to be taken to and bound by the terms of that website's privacy policy.
With respect to your credit card information, this information is sent encrypted to a secure server. The information is then used to complete your purchase order.

Therefore, we encourage you to investigate and determine the privacy policy and practices of any linked site prior to providing information to the linked site.
Surveys CAMFT may from time to time create and use surveys on our Website. Most surveys are simple "click box" surveys where you click a box on the screen to indicate your response. If a survey does ask you this information, we will use the information solely to complete the survey, compile statistics and update CAMFT member records.
Listservs, Message Boards, etc. CAMFT may provide forums, listservs, message boards, and/or news groups on our website. These features will be helpful to the users of our website. If you decide you do not want to participate in a particular listserv, the first email you receive from the listserv should provide you instructions on how to opt out of the service.
As required in the Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance (DMARC) specification, and enforced by Yahoo and AOL, our third party community software provider routes and stores private messages sent from member to member via the “private email” aliases. These emails are only visible to CAMFT staff with administrative privileges and will only be viewed by CAMFT staff, if ever, for the purpose of maintaining the technical operation of the member communities. CAMFT’s access to these emails is consistent with the access available to technical staff of your own email providers.
