Health and Safety Protocols for In-Person Meetings

Event Confirmation: Your event registration will be confirmed if received one-week prior to the event start date. Hotel confirmations will be sent by the host hotel. 

Registration: Register online at www.camft.org under the “Education” tab, or mail to CAMFT, 7901 Raytheon Road, San Diego, CA 92111. Online registration will close 11:59 p.m. exactly one week prior to the event start date. After that time, please register at-door.

Fees: If you are attending only one day of the event, you are entitled to attend all events on that day, except for additional events. There is a separate fee for such events, and they must be paid for separately in order to attend. You may attend another day’s events as well, if you purchase tickets for those events.

Payment: Check, Money Order, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover are accepted. We prefer not to take cash.

Continuing Education: CE Certificates are provided onsite. No additional fees for initial CE certificates! For Replacement certificates: The first replacement certificate is free. There is a charge of $10 per workshop/session certificate after that.

CAMFT is approved for CE hours by: CAMFT is recognized as a CE Provider by the Board of Behavioral Sciences for LMFTs, LEPs, LPCCs, and LCSWs (16 C.C.R. §1887.4.3(3)(D)); Provider Approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (Provider# CEP 4046) for number of contact hours and the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP-EI Provider #1S-95-319-1023). Pre-licensed members and associates may earn hours of experience for attending CAMFT workshops as approved by their supervisors.

Presenter Opinions and Sensitive Materials Disclaimer: Some workshops may include highly sensitive material. Presenters may express a wide variety of opinions and views which do not necessarily represent the opinions and views of CAMFT and/or you as an individual. The presenters were selected because of their expertise in their respective subject areas and to provide you with a diversity of views on a variety of topics to enhance your event experience.

The CAMFT Education and Planning Committee selects and approves continuing education presenters and programs based on the information provided to the Committee by the workshop presenters. The Committee cannot be in attendance at all workshops to ensure that the information delivered is as described in the applications submitted to the Committee. The material and modalities presented by CAMFT continuing education workshops reflect the views of the presenters and have been made available by CAMFT for educational and informational purposes only and not as professional advice for specific cases or circumstances.

Refunds/Cancellations: Requests for refunds must be made in writing and received by CAMFT one week prior to the event start date. The Administrative fee for cancellation shall be $25 for each day of a paid registration. This fee will be deducted for cancellations through the cancellation deadline. There will be no refunds on requests received after 11:59 p.m. exactly one-week prior to the event start date.

Returned Checks: A $25.00 service charge will be assessed for returned checks.

Grievances: While CAMFT goes to great lengths to assure fair treatment for all participants and attempts to anticipate problems, there will be occasional issues which come to the attention of the CAMFT staff which will require intervention and/ or action on the part of the staff. Procedural guidelines handling for such grievances can be found at www.camft.org under “Education” or by clicking here.

Special Needs: Facilities are accessible to persons with disabilities. If you have a special need and plan to attend the event, please contact CAMFT at 858.292.2638. Special needs requests will be fulfilled if received at least 2 weeks prior to the event start date.

Private Functions: In the interest of the success of the event, attendees and exhibitors must agree not to extend invitations, call meetings, or otherwise encourage absence of attendees from the event’s official planned activities or exhibit hall during the official hours of the convention and exhibit hall. Anyone hosting a function or reserving function space in conjunction with the event must receive prior approval from CAMFT.

Canvassing or Distribution: No canvassing or distribution of materials is allowed at the event by anyone who has not pre-purchased an exhibitor or sponsorship opportunity.

Exhibit Hall Disclaimer: Products and services displayed in the Exhibit Hall or advertised in this program occur by contractual business arrangements between CAMFT and participating companies and organizations. These arrangements do not constitute or imply CAMFT’s endorsement of these products and services. Further, CAMFT cannot make specific recommendations for such products, programs, or services.

Consent to Use of Photographic and Video Images: CAMFT and its affiliates may be photographing, videotaping, audiotaping or webcasting CAMFT meetings, activities, and CAMFT-sponsored events. Registration, attendance at, and/or participation at any of these events constitute an agreement by the registrant or attendee to these activities and to the use and distribution of the registrant’s or attendee’s image, likeness, or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions, and audiotapes.

Fragrance Sensitivity: To keep the environment free from unnecessary irritants, participants are asked to refrain from wearing heavily scented perfumes, colognes, or other products.

Anti-Harrassment Policy: CAMFT is committed to ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all participants at its meetings or events. We expect all participants at a CAMFT meeting or event to abide by this Anti-Harassment Policy in all venues, including ancillary events and official and unofficial social gatherings:

  • Exercise consideration and respect in your speech and actions.
  • Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech.
  • Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants.
  • Alert community leaders if you notice harassment

IF YOU ARE BEING HARASSED, NOTICE THAT SOMEONE ELSE IS BEING HARASSED, OR HAVE ANY OTHER CONCERNS, PLEASE CONTACT A MEMBER OF THE CAMFT STAFF IMMEDIATELY.

Unacceptable behavior from any participant at a CAMFT meeting or event, including attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, contractors, volunteer leaders, vendors, venue staff, and anyone with decision-making authority, will not be tolerated.

If a participant engages in unacceptable behavior, CAMFT may take any action they deem appropriate, including removal from a CAMFT meeting or event (without refund) at which the harassment occurred. Egregious violations will result in more severe sanctions.
