Empowering Trans Erotic Wellness: Clinical Strategies for Sexual Pleasure

Friday | May 2, 2025
4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
(1.5 CEs)

Session Description:

Sexuality and sexual pleasure are important parts of transgender and non-binary clients; lives. Providing holistic clinical care includes supporting trans clients to explore and find the tools they need for their own erotic empowerment. By holding a space outside of cis-supremacist culture we create opportunities for growth and healing that support transgender pleasure and wellness. This workshop provides tools for exploring sexual ethics and talking with trans clients about sex in a non-pathologizing way that centers trans experience. Principles from narrative, relational, and liberation frameworks will be used to help participants dig deeply into their own sexual and gender narratives and leave with valuable tools that can be applied in their professional work with transgender, non-binary, and gender-expansive clients..

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will be able to define desire-ability, ethical curiosity, and cis-supremacy.
  • Participants will be able to explain intimate justice and how it impacts marginalized clients experience of their sexuality.
  • Participants will be able to describe three ways that gender euphoria can be used clinically with transgender and non-binary clients.
  • Participants will be able to list three clinical interventions that they can use when supporting transgender clients' sexual wellness.
