MARCH 2022 E-NEWSLETTER

Spring is in the air (at least in most parts of California). And although there is still much discord and confusion in the world, we can begin to see glimmers of hope as COVID numbers continue to drop, restrictions continue to loosen, and more of us are gathering in-person to reconnect and commune with one another.

Just last weekend, CAMFT’s Board of Directors and several members of staff were able to connect in-person in Tiburon for the March Board meeting, an L&E presentation, and a Board-to-Board reception with several volunteer leaders from the East Bay, San Francisco, Santa Clara, and Marin chapters. It felt wonderful to be able to laugh face to face, give hugs, and share stories of the past two years as we look to the future vision of CAMFT and the MFT profession.

CAMFT is very excited to announce that we will be holding our first in-person Annual Conference event since 2019! For those of you who desire some in-person connection, we encourage you to join us at the 2022 Annual Conference in Los Angeles on May 20th at the UCLA Luskin Conference Center. The one-day event will feature relationship expert Terry Real, food relationship and trauma specialist Dr. Ebony Butler, and a special law and ethics luncheon presentation by CAMFT staff attorney Luke Martin, JD. We also recognize that many of you may prefer to learn online, so we have created a variety of on-demand workshops as well.

And before I sign off, I want to remind all clinical members to vote for the CAMFT Board of Directors! Be sure to vote online or mail your ballot early enough to be received and counted by March 17th.
