This month’s highlights include the  Outstanding Leader & Chapter Nomination deadline of Oct 31; how to budget for next year’s Chapter Leadership Conference; how CAMFT will be offering CE presentations to chapters in 2024; and the Supervision Workshops on Oct 13-14, 2023.

Invitation: Join the Virtual Chapter Leaders Forum discussions

  • Description: The goal of these virtual meet-ups is for chapter leaders to get together and share what works well for their chapter and to ask for/share advice and resources. Depending on the needs of the attendees, there will be an opportunity to meet in smaller breakout rooms. The Chapter Relations Manager and selected CAMFT staff members will be available to answer questions

  • All Chapter Award recipients will receive a stipend
  • Awards will be handed out in-person at the Chapter Leadership Conference on Saturday, February 3, 2024

Reminder: Budget for CLC 2024 travel, accommodation, and parking

  • CAMFT provides:
    • Free registration to all board members and committee chairs

    • Friday reception and Saturday breakfast, lunch, and breaks to all attendees

    •  A hotel room for the chapter President on Friday evening

  • The chapter is responsible for:
    • Additional hotel room nights for the President (other than Friday evening)
    • Hotel rooms for any board members and committee chairs attending

    • Flight & ground transportation for the President, board members, and committee chairs attending

Events/Education/Programming/ CEPA

Tip: Networking works best when it’s small and specific - Here are a few suggestions:

  • Interactive table exercises during education sessions
  • Meetups for affinity groups or birds of a feather
  • Solution room sessions
  • Ideation sessions or hackathons
  • Community service projects—choose an activity attendees can do together in groups, talking while they work

CAMFT CE Presentations for Chapters:  What’s NEW in 2024?

  • State of the Profession (1 CE)
    • Chapters are eligible to sign up for either the webinar or one (1) in-person presentation
    • Both will be presented by Executive Director, Joy Alafia
    • The webinar is scheduled for October 16, 2024 at 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
