Happy Thanksgiving

Dear Chapter Leaders,

With Thanksgiving around the corner, it is my pleasure to share my thanks and appreciation for all you do for our chapters. Despite the many changes and upheavals throughout the year, you have been a solid, kind, and patient presence in your chapters. I am fortunate to work with all of you.

May your blessings be many, your troubles be few, and your Thanksgiving be wonderful.” Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

This month’s highlights include registering for the Chapter Leadership Conference, how CAMFT will be offering the CE presentations to chapters in 2024 and the “New Year, New Law & Ethics” Hybrid event on December 1.

New initiative: 2024 L&E events proposal for chapters

  • The excitement is building for an events proposal that will help Chapters generate additional event revenue, while reducing volunteer hours
  • CAMFT staff and the Chapter Advisory Council is developing a program regarding next year’s Law & Ethics presentations

Treasurers/CFOs/Bookkeepers/Secretaries/Chapter Admin

Tip: Forward your 2024 Board rosters to mchampion@camft.org ASAP after your election

  • So that your chapter’s Board members and committee chairs will have access to register for the Chapter Leadership Conference
  • Provide in Excel format: Please include names, positions, emails (Should be the email that they are monitoring frequently; could be other than chapter email)

Reminder: Budget for CLC 2024 travel, accommodation, and parking

  • CAMFT provides:
    • Free registration to all board members and committee chairs

    • Friday reception and Saturday breakfast, lunch, and breaks to all attendees

    •  A hotel room for the chapter President on Friday evening

  • The chapter is responsible for:
    • Additional hotel room nights for the President (other than Friday evening)
    • Hotel rooms for any board members and committee chairs attending

    • Flight & ground transportation for the President, board members, and committee chairs attending

What’s new in 2024?  CAMFT CE Presentations offered to Chapters at no cost

  • State of the Profession
    • Chapters may sign up for either the webinar OR an in-person presentation
    • The 1 CE-webinar is scheduled for October 16 at 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
    • Chapters may request in-person presentations throughout 2024

  • Road to Licensure
    • Chapters may sign up for BOTH webinars
    • Webinars will be from 9:00 am – Noon and eligible for 3 CEs

    • We will be sharing more information in the December newsletter, but in the meantime…
      • CAMFT is planning to offer L&E webinars and L&E in-person presentations to chapters in 2024
